As an interesting concrete example, see the Roxen Challenger web
server. This is part of the Roxen Platform that won the "Best Internet
Software" in the PCWeek Best of Comdex award (fall 1998). Roxen
Challenger is GPL:d with sources available, of course and provides
strong crypto among other things - for more info see www.roxen.com
