... somebody on this mailing list recently claimed that there was
   no free CAD software.  Out of curiosity, I did a WAIS search
   (telnet to quake.think.com and login as wais) for "cad" in
   comp.archives.  There were 40 hits.

I would be interested in reading reviews of some of the packages, if
anyone has tried them.
