Speaking of EROS, what directions are people taking it?

One thing that it has to be facing is an application/paradigm conflict
There is a shortage of applications for EROS, and porting a POSIX
environment to it and basically running Unix inside of EROS kind of misses
the entire point.

A (possibly very stupid) thought that I had is that there could be another
version which is a virtual machine running on top of another OS. This
would let people try it out fairly painlessly without having to have a full
suite of applications for it.
