Scriptics Corporation, a provider of XML-based integration
solutions for automating, customizing and managing high-value
business-to-business relationships over the Internet, today
announced that it has changed its name to Ajuba Solutions, Inc.

Scriptics had been in the business of promoting Tcl as a scripting
language to tie together disparate programs inside an organization.
With this repositioning, the company is putting Tcl into the
background and pushing XML. It's also focusing on business-to-
business integration, rather than internal integration.

Certainly the relative popularity of Perl versus Tcl had a role to
play in the repositioning. It will be interesting to see how
successful the company is with its new focus. There's no message
about Open Source software in the public pronouncements any longer.
The B2B space is quite crowded, and the XML-enabled B2B strategy is
very popular.
