Ajuba, formerly Scriptics, the company founded by John Ousterhout
to commercialize Tcl, will be acquired by Interwoven for $31M in
stock. The deal was announced after the close of the markets on
Friday and is expected to close before the end of the year.

Scriptics originally focused on developing tools to add value to
the core Tcl open source product. Earlier this year, the company
changed its name to Ajuba Solutions and its business plan to
providing services in integrating Tcl into the enterprise, and
to providing good Web integration. They shifted their focus toward
XML as a data interchange tool.

Interwoven is several years old, and has been very successful
at selling tools that let companies put content on the Web.
