I think that's a good idea. I'm working on something that is like that. 
I'm calling it "GiftNet", and it works by signing on "agents" 
(businesses, portals, celebrities, etc.) to solicit and promote 
financial gifts to free software programmers (maybe can be 
tax-deductible under right circumstances).
