Subject: a "new" (really quite old) FS R&D business model

As a fund-raiser for the projects at `regexps.com', I am making a
special release of my package for GNU Emacs: the "monkey" directory
editor. There is more information about the fund-raiser at
"http://www.regexps.com".

The FSB angle? This is actually the _oldest_ FSB business model I
know of. In the early days (maybe they still do), the FSF used to
sell $5,000 "deluxe distributions" to fund the early development of
Emacs, GCC, the *utils, and the other software that, today, provides
so many of you with your careers.
