   Hard to do when one doesn't have a job, but getting the hell out of
   there would be a good plan from many points of view, in my opinion.
   Like Simo Sorce says, living somewhere where basic needs are easily
   taken care of, and where the cost of life is cheaper makes a lot of
   sense if you want to pursue a lifestyle that doesn't necessarily bring
   in a lot of money.

   The bay area, on the other hand, is very much about having significant
   quantities of money at your disposition, from my experience.
